KidsArt/ Drawn2Art Seasonal Workshops

KidsArt/ Drawn2Art has expanded its program to include a variety of workshops for students who are interested in the arts. These workshops are designed to broaden perception, abilities, and affinity for many different media, as well as spark a desire for future investigation and learning as a young artist.

KidsArt/ Drawn2Art offers specialized seasonal workshops. Many of our studios are offering half and full day class options, as well as special workshops for ages 4-6.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS


HALLOWEEN WORKSHOP

Learn to create a Halloween haunted house & Halloween figurines, such as a vampire, witch, and/or Frankenstein from clay.


ANIMÉ/ POKÉMON WORKSHOP

Learn to draw the most popular Animé/ Pokémon characters. Be taught how to turn yourself into your very own Animé drawing.
WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE

Learn to make a Wild Thing mask, a clay pinch pot, and create your very own Wild Thing monster.
VALENTINE'S WORKSHOP

Join us for one day and create a Valentine’s Day themed clay sculpture with a pop-up card background.

THANKSGIVING WORKSHOP

Learn to create a Thanksgiving house, make a clay scarecrow, and a Thanksgiving pin you can wear.

MONSTER WORKSHOP

Draw & sculpt your very own monster. Create a pop-up background to give it a home. Also, create a monster pin.

WINTER WORKSHOP

Learn to create a festive winter house, such as a Christmas or Hanukkah house and figurines such as Santa or a bear with a dreidel.

Anime

JAPANESE ANIMÉ & CARTOONING

Evoke humor through exaggeration, and learn the basic fundamentals of both traditional American and Japanese style-cartooning. Students use techniques to create their own imaginative characters. More advanced students will have the opportunity to learn fundamental drawing techniques create detailed Animé characters. Proper proportions of anatomy are learned by putting shapes together to create the body and its separate components.
Ages 7 and up*

ANIMATION


Students are taught how to create their own figures and storyboards. By learning how to draw features such as eyes, ears, noses, etc., students will learn how to create characters in a storyboard of their making. Great fun and excitement will result in seeing their storyboards come alive as students ink and color their finished drawings! The final project will be learning to draw and paint an animated cell in the classical manner.

Portraiture

FIGURE DRAWING & PORTRAITURE

Tired of drawing stick figures? Learn to draw 3-dimensional heads and figures using simple step techniques. Discover the fundamentals of drawing the human form and the structure of the human head. The student's power of observation and ability to capture the 3-dimensional quality of the figure will be challenging and fun to draw! Media such as, but not limited to, graphite, charcoal, pastels, and conte crayons will be used.

Clay

CLAY SCULPTURE

Hands on studio workshop where the student is guided through a step-by-step process from inception to the finished piece. Students learn to sculpt and paint animals, a bas relief landscape, and a 3-dimensional building. The student will derive great satisfaction watching the materials be transformed while learning basic sculpting methods. Multiple materials and techniques are introduced to inspire interest and creativity.

Storybook Multimedia Workshop

KidsArt/ Drawn2Art invites students ages 4 - 6 to participate in a weekly hour of educational, fun, and creative learning in our early development multi-media workshop.

Features
• 1-hour weekly sessions for ages 4 - 6 years
• 8-Week workshop
• Students will work with media such as colored
pencils, markers, clay, and watercolors.
• Small classes, individualized attention
• New projects each month
• Work with favorite characters from books, movies,
and television.
• See stories & characters come to life by your own hands!
