Part time Art Teacher wanted. Do you have really good realistic drawing & painting skills, and life drawing skills? Do you love kids? Are you both caring and outgoing? KidsArt is looking for a warm, upbeat, fine artist or illustrator with excellent communication skills who will find personal meaning in sharing his or her knowledge of realism with students, ages 4 years - adults.
Experience working with children in some capacity would be helpful, as the majority of our students are between 4 years old and teens. At KidsArt, we train all our teachers in our methodology, step-by-step, in a classical, highly realistic art program. We have been using and improving our teaching methods for over twenty-six years, and are excited to share our knowledge and experience with you. We also train you in our methodology and curriculum, as well as work with you in the classroom after you start teaching, so that you always have support.
We will need to see a portfolio of realistic artwork in drawing (including life drawing, if you have examples), and in watercolor, acrylic and oil, if you have examples of your work in these mediums as well. We also prefer to hire someone with some clay sculpture experience. We would like to see as much realism as possible and need examples of your artwork emailed with your resume.
You need to be available to teach, as needed five days a week. Our basic class schedule is: weekdays 3:00-6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. There may also be some early afternoon or evening hours available, depending on enrollment and teacher schedules. Teaching hours depend on student enrollment, so you would need to be flexible with your teaching schedule. Training hours and training pay will be discussed during the interview with the Studio Director.
